Good Vibes

Good Morning
I hope this New Year gives you lots of good vibes.
Meet just one of the new stencils for January from A Colorful Life Designs that I had fun with.
It's called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed a piece of white cardstock onto my Make Art Station and put just the top part of the Swirls With Dots stencil onto one side of the paper near the middle.  I inked with some Ripe Persimmon and some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.
  • I lifted the stencil off and moved it to the other side of the paper and inked again with the same colours.
  • I added the white dots to the center of the circles, then splattered the whole panel with my white Posca pen.
  • When the panel was dry, I die cut the shadow from the middle area and the sentiment letters with some black.  I glued the letters into place over the shadow cut out.
  • I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of black cardstock, then onto some orange cardstock and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop up the sentiment back into place in the middle of my card front, matching up the pattern.

Important Changes and Affiliate Links for A Colorful Life Designs

 Hello

I just wanted to update you about some things that may affect your shopping with me over at
A Colorful Life Designs.

In the New Year, A Colorful Life Designs will not longer be using the affiliate program they have been using in the past.

So, what does this mean for you?
All the links that I have added to my posts will no longer take you to the site and won't work.
You will now have to go directly to the website to shop instead of through my old links.
Please still use my coupon code when shopping (KarenFan10) to get all the savings on the awesome products.
I can still also get credit for the sale if there is another alternate code to use as a discount if you are purchasing the Master Creator Bundles or Special sales.
Just mention my name at checkout time on your order and I will get credit for it.

I so appreciate your support and I hope I can continue to show you and create lots of fun projects.

Big Hello

Welcome
Today's card is a simple CAS with lots of texture.
So meet one of the new stencils for January from A Colorful Life Designs called

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by taking a piece of white cardstock and placed it into an Embossing Folder and ran it through my machine.
  • Next, I took the embossed cardstock, placed it onto my Make Art Station and placed the Arabesque Tile stencil over that.  I inked it with some Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink.
  • Next, using a sanding block, I gently sanded off some of the raised areas to add interest.
  • I die cut the 'Hello' letters with some red cardstock and then again 3 more times with some white cardstock and glued them all together as I wanted a raised sentiment.
  • I splattered the sentiment using my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of red cardstock, then onto an A2 sized white card base.
  • I glued the sentiment across the card front to finish it off.

Have a Colorful Day

Good Morning
I want to introduce you to just one of the new stencils for January from A Colorful Life Designs called:

This is a great stencil that includes 4 different designed hearts and a mask included as well.
The hearts on this stencil are spaced apart which makes inking with different colours so easy.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Heart With Options stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked the first plain heart into the bottom right hand corner with some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.
  • Beside that pink heart, I inked up the next one with some Ripe Persimmon DOX ink.
  • I repeated the inking process using all the different heart designs along the top of my card panel with more of the Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon and some Peacock Feathers DOX ink.
  • I splattered over the hearts with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I stamped the sentiment with some more of the Peacock Feathers DOX ink, clear heat embossed it, then die cut it out.
  • I glued the dried panel onto a piece of blue cardstock, then onto a 4 1/4" square card base.
  • I popped up the sentiment with some foam tape and added 3 pearls around the sentiment.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!
2025
Wishing you good health, happiness and many blessings.
I'm looking forward to a year filled with fun and lots more creativity.
Let's start the year off with a newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed a piece of black cardstock onto my Make Art Station and rubbed the whole thing with an anti-static bag.
  • I then placed the Five Rings stencil over the bottom corner and inked with some Unicorn White ink.  I moved the stencil to the open area at the top corner and inked again.
  • I sprinkled the whole piece with white embossing powder and heat set.
  • I added some white splatters with my Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • Using some silver textured cardstock, I die cut the sentiment.  I cut the sentiment again 2 more times with some white cardstock and glued them all together.
  • I glued the card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then black and then onto an 4 1/4" square white card base.

Pencil Meets Stencil

Welcome
It's my turn to host the TLC again over at Splitcoast Stampers.
I'm calling this simple technique

This technique requires a stencil, a pencil with an eraser on the end and some ink pads that will blend with water.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed a piece of white cardstock onto my Make Art Station and put the Argyle stencil over it.
  • Using the eraser on the end of the pencil, I pressed it onto  my Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink pad and then pressed it onto the stencil.  I repeated that a number of times all over the stencil.
  • I wiped the pencil eraser off and then continued the same process with some Villainous Potion and some Picked Raspberry DOX ink.
  • Leaving the stencil in place, I took a wet paint brush and dragged it across the stencil, blending and muting the colours a bit and giving it a more watercoloured look.
This is what it looked like.
  • I wiped off the stencil, shifted it over and then inked again using the same technique as above.
  • I set it aside to dry before continuing with the next steps.
  • I die cut the sentiment shadow from the dry panel and then die cut the sentiment with some dark purple and glued those together.
  • I glued the stenciled panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of dark purple and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
  • I used some foam tape to add the sentiment back into place in the middle of the card front and finally added 3 purple bling gems around it.

Here is the stencil I used:
